Despite there being an overarching feeling of despair across teaching professionals nationwide, there seem to be less institutions willing to hear these teachers out and meet their demands. It’s clearly unfair to place all of the responsibility onto these teachers, atop all of the stress they already feel as a result of their work. It’s not until there’s organizational level change that there will ever be a better balance for these professionals. With that said, keeping one’s self grounded throughout the challenges that being a teacher brings is important for both the sake of self and the children being taught. Self-care is the only way to ensure that you and your students continue to receive the best version of you.
